Newsletters
A whole school newsletter is issued every second Thursday. This covers details of what is coming up in the next few weeks, important dates to take note of, any general information, and information from various groups within the school. Classroom newsletters will be sent home from time to time, as well as special newsletters for sports events, School trips, etc. The school newsletter goes out via email to parent email addresses, and is uploaded to SeeSaw and the Skool Loop App.
Skool Loop
In 2019 one of our main communication mediums, will be by using The Skool Loop App on your Smartphone.

Push Notifications: (Instant Messaging):
Used in place of texts so that Our Lady of the Snows community or groups of our school community can receive instant messages directly from the school.

The School Calendar:
The School calendar provides up to date school information regarding all school events, engagements and vital dates throughout the year.

Absentee Messaging:
This part of the App provides a quick, simple and convenient way for parents or caregivers to report absentees to the school. Options included direct dial, email or text.

School Contacts:
Contact details for the school in your phone for your convenience.

Permission Slips:
Parents and caregivers can electronically sign forms & permission slips directly from Skool Loop. Submitted forms and permission slips are then directly emailed to the schools office email address.

Notices:
All notifications- instant messages sent from the school are recorded here as well as any school notices.

Newsletters:
Updated fortnightly and available to read anytime.

Formal interviews
Pupil, Parent Teacher Interviews are scheduled twice a year: Term 1, and Term 3. All are expected to take part in these three-way conferences.

National Curriculum & written reports for all children are sent home Mid Year and End of Year.
Reports
Reports go home at mid-year and end of year for all  year groups. These reports will contain details of your child's progress in Reading, Writing and Mathematics. The reports will also contain information on other curriculum areas and key competences.
Parent evenings
We hold occasional parent information and feedback evenings during every school year. These form an important part of our communication to the parent community and  we encourage the parents to attend.
Surveys
Occasionally we will send surveys home to get feedback on particular issues or decisions that are under consideration.
Informal interviews
If you wish to meet a teacher for any particular reason during the school year, please contact the teacher for an appointment.
